After we already have that model CB2 by FlexiSpot here tested, we have now also taken a closer look at the RC2 model.

Scope of delivery and construction

Like the CB2, the RC2 is delivered almost completely assembled. The rolling container is so well packed with metal frames and polystyrene that damage during delivery is quite unlikely. The delivery includes: assembly instructions; an extension tray for pens and other small items; 2x keys; 4x castors; 5x spring washers and toothed washers and a wrench. Apart from attaching the castors, you don't have to do anything yourself. This step will be easy even for people with two left hands thanks to the illustrated instructions. Because spring washers and toothed washers are used, this connection should never come loose accidentally. The tray for small office supplies such as paper clips or staplers can be easily inserted into any drawer.

processing and functions

Thanks to the transport packaging with a mixture of plastic corners, styrofoam, metal frame and protective film, damage during delivery is almost impossible. Nevertheless, I did have a few very small blemishes on the rolling container. Since the key hangs down from the top drawer during delivery, it is slightly scratched. In future, FlexiSpot should send the keys in the drawer. There were also a few scratches on the underside, which is not noticeable but is still annoying at a price of €119,99. The rolling container is available in white and black, is made entirely of metal and is therefore also equipped to withstand a spilled drink or force.

The three drawers are the same size and can each hold 15 kg according to the instructions (even 30 kg according to the website). Each of them can withstand 15 kg, but the bottom one then drags against the casing. Folders can only be stored lying down, as the size of each individual level is 15,4 cm x 42 cm (height x depth). Overall, the container has dimensions of 39 cm x 45 cm x 53,8 cm (length x width x height) and therefore fits well under the desk. The features include parking brakes on the front castors, a suggested light soft-close and 3 drawers, all of which can be locked. Another positive thing we noticed is that the drawers can be pulled out completely and the last few centimeters do not remain in the rolling container.

The conclusion on the Flexispot RC2

The FlexiSpot RC2 office roll container impresses with its functional and compact design, which offers optimal storage space for work materials. Thanks to the wheels, it can be moved around the room flexibly and fits under the desk to save space. Unfortunately, the wheels are not particularly smooth, so two hands are required to push it straight. The sturdy workmanship, which unfortunately also shows exposed screws, and the simple design make it a good choice for modern office environments. The price is currently €119,99.

Black Friday discount campaign

From November 01st to December 02nd, 2024, there will always be new discounts at FlexiSpot. Among them is the one we here already tested E7 Pro Desk, which is electrically height-adjustable so that you can work on it while standing. The latter has the advantage of improving posture and thus preventing back pain.
