But what actually is this so-called browser cache?

The Browser cache is a kind of cache for websites. So when you visit a website for the first time, the browser saves certain parts of the website (such as images) in a special folder on your hard drive. So if you visit this website again later, the browser no longer needs to load all the content, since a few things, such as images, are already stored in the browser cache. But unfortunately there are some ProProblem: If the site administrator changes the content of the page, the browser does not notice this and takes the data from the browser cache. So you have to clear the browser cache. But how do I do that?

Clear browser cache on different browsers. It is listed here:

Google Chrome:

Chrome

  1. You click on the menu symbol next to the address bar (three horizontal bars)
  2. Select "Other tools"
  3. Then you choose "Delete browser data ..."
  4. For "Delete the following for this period" click the entry "Entire period"
  5. Activate "clear cache"
  6. If you click on "Delete browser data"
Im mobile Clear Google Chrome cache:
  1. Select the three dots in the top right-hand corner next to the address line or press the menu button on your smartphone.
  2. Click on "History" in the menu.
  3. Now choose what you want to delete, including the "cache".

Mozilla Firefox:

Clear browser cache in Firefox 43 (as well as in versions Firefox 4 to 42):
  1. You press the Alt key to display the window menu
  2. Then click in the "Chronicle" menu on "Delete latest chronicle ..."
  3. A new window is opening up. Activate the option "Cache" andFirefox then click on "delete now"
Clear browser cache in Firefox 2 and Firefox 3:
  1. In the "Tools" menu click on "Settings"
  2. Select the "Privacy" tab
  3. Find the "Private Data" section. Click on "Delete now ..."
  4. A new window is opening up. Activate the option "Cache" and then click on "Clear private data now"
Im mobile Mozilla Firefox clear the cache:
  1. Once you've started Firefox, press the menu button on your smartphone.
  2. Select the item "Settings".
  3. Once in the settings, you navigate to the menu item "Privacy".
  4. Now you will find under "Delete private data" (a little further below), the option "Delete now", here you can also select Firefox  Should delete data after exiting the browser.

  1. Click the gear icon in the top right
  2. Select "Internet Options"
  3. Select the "General" tab
  4. Find the "Browsing History" section. Click on "Delete ..."
  5. A new window is opening up. Deactivate "Keep preferred website data" and activate "Temporary Internet files" and "Cookies"
  6. Finally click on "Delete"

  1. In the "Tools" menu click on "Internet Options"Internet Explorer
  2. Select the "General" tab
  3. Find the "Browsing History" section. Click on "Delete ..."
  4. A new window is opening up. Deactivate "Keep preferred website data" and activate "Temporary Internet files" and "Cookies"
  5. Finally click on "Delete"

  2. Select the "General" tab

  4. Click on "Delete files"

  2. Select the "General" tab

  4. Activate the option "Delete all offline content"
  5. Click on "Yes"

Apple Safari:Safari

  1. In the "Safari" menu click on "Clear cache"
  2. Click on "Empty"

Opera:

  1. Click on the Opera or Menu button in the title bar of the browser window
  2. In the "Settings" menu click on "Delete Internet Traces ..."
  3. Activate the option "Clear the entire cache"Opera
  4. Click the "Delete" button at the bottom of the window
