Instagram: Direct messages for the web client are tested
A major disadvantage of the web version of Instagram is that you cannot send direct messages there. Instagram is finally testing this feature in the web client.
A major disadvantage of the Instagram web app is that you cannot send direct messages there. The minds behind the social network have finally noticed that too. TechCrunch writes that sooner or later you will be able to chat with your friends via your web browser. This feature is currently being tested internally at Instagram. An exact date on which the functionality will be activated for the large number is not known.
Why not right away?
Jane Manchun Wong, who notified TechCrunch of the news, was able to activate the direct messaging for her in just a few simple steps. These can apparently be called up via the paper airplane symbol, which is located in the top bar. That’s nothing more. And then I ask myself why that wasn't included a long time ago. But well, better late than never. Again: The implementation of Instagram Direct in the web client is first tested internally to find possible bugs. It will definitely take a few months before all users can then access Direct on the web.
