After grade 7-Problemen: Note series should be discontinued
No more phablets in the "Note" range in the future? That could become a reality. After the Note 7-Proproblems, users associate the Note series with exploding smartphones. This should now come to an end.
Together with the Note 7 sales stop and the numerous Explosions and exchanges Samsung now wants to discontinue the Note series. As PhoneArea Now reported, this step is intended to limit the damage to the image of the phablet series from Samsung. However, the source of the article is not confirmed - an official statement from Samsung is still pending.
Why all that?
The Galaxy Note 7 debacle has been going on for over a month now. Some batteries in the device have exploded and caught fire. Samsung reacted quickly to the incident and had all Note 7 devices returned for security reasons. Some airlines and shipping companies have banned the use of the Note 7 while driving. A few days later, the next incident occurred: the battery of an exchange device for the Note 7 is said to have suddenly caught fire in an airplane. All these devices are currently being recalled - if you don't send your Note 7 in, you risk an explosion. Those affected can now choose a replacement device or receive the purchase price back. The message from Samsung is there here.
Due to all this damage to the image of the Samsung brand in general and the Note series in particular, the Korean company no longer wants to sell its phablets in the Note series. However, we do not think that Samsung will ever sell smartphones with stylus and large displays again. Therefore, the successor to the Note 7 will no longer be sold under the name Galaxy Note 8. However, there has not yet been an official statement from Samsung.

I will not return my Note 7 !!
I have just driven 7 km through the USA with the Note 8000 - in the function of a navigation system.
3 weeks only sun. The Note 7 was attached to the windshield / dashboard as usual. The sun heated up the Note 7 mightily. In addition, it was constantly charged with on-board power.
The Note 7 did not mind the warmth from the outside and inside. It created the vacation photos and films in a quality and sharpness never seen before.
I have confidence in this Note 7.
I realize that there could be a residual risk when charging.
Charging the battery is quick, so it's not for me Proproblem of not loading the Note 7 unattended.
(What a waste to destroy the Note 7 because Samsung's professionals can't find the fault - if there is any fault at all)
Hello Thorsten!
I can understand that you don't want to return your Note 7. It's a really good smartphone with great software and hardware. However, I wouldn't risk the battery exploding or catching fire - I would send it back, get my money back, and wait for a replacement. There is surely even better hardware in it than the current Note 7.
It has also often been heard that Samsung will soon even import an update with which it is possible to use the Note 7 up to a maximum of 40 Proto charge cent. That would definitely not be enough battery power for one day. With this update, Samsung "forces" all users to send the device back, so to speak.
You can let me know if something like that has already happened to you. Would interest me.
