Android 12 Beta is here: These are the new features and the timeline until autumn
The first beta of Android 12 has been available since yesterday. So there are some new features. Google also published a schedule until autumn.

Now the first beta version for developers has appeared. In the end, the new OS doesn't look exactly like the screenshot. Also, the shown widgets are not yet included, at least in this first beta. But what happened then?

This will make it possible to operate larger smartphones more easily with just one hand. The system adapts the surface so that all corners can be reached without changing your grip.

In the past few years, Google has changed the way it displays and handles notifications. This year it is not different. The notification center is now a little more transparent and the tiles have grown. These also have their own button for snoozing messages. The look of the media player has also been slightly refreshed.
There are also minor changes. Among other things, there are black areas in places no longer completely dark displayed. From now on, Google is relying more on a dark gray. And now you can too Edit screenshots after taking them, similar to what we know from iOS and iPadOS.
Android 12: That's the schedule
Parallel to the first pre-release version of a new Android, there is always a schedule with the individual beta releases up to the final version in September. According to this, Google will publish two more developer betas by May. From then on, the public test versions come, the first usually being presented as part of Google I / O. From August onwards, the final touches will be carried out before the finished version of Android 12 is activated for the first devices in autumn.
