Apple Pay is now available at Sparkasse in Germany
Yesterday there were rumors about the start of Apple Pay at the Sparkasse in Germany. Now the time has come and the function was public in the early hours of the morning. The public announcement is still pending.
The bank colleague in Austria has already taken the step: Apple Pay has been around for some time available in Austria. Now pulls Sparkasse in Germany after, and now lets customers add their credit card from the bank to Apple Pay in the wallet. The cards of the current account, i.e. the debit cards, should only be able to be added next year. Somehow it's a shame that the whole package is not launched right away.
Apple Pay: Add the Sparkasse card to the wallet - this is how it works!
As with other banks, adding the card to the wallet - and thus to Apple Pay - is very easy. You simply switch to the Apple Wallet, click on the + to add the card and then select the bank. If this does not work yet, you can either manually scan the card in the wallet or take a detour via the S-App and add the card to the wallet from there.
You should then be able to pay normally with Apple Pay - during the payment process you will either be authenticated using Face ID or Touch ID on the iPhone and iPad. Payment on the Apple Watch is possible after entering the specified PIN.
