A few weeks ago I reported on Leaks on an upcoming new Chromecast. Now there is one to buy for a short time. All information about the new model.
Chromecasts have always been very cheap, and that won't change with the third generation of the streaming gadget. The cost is still 39 euros. The new Chromecast is available in two colors: "Chalk" (white) and "Carbon" (black). The first color option is only available in the Google Store, however. All in all, the new model looks almost like the old one. Google just opted for a more rounded design with fewer edges and more curves on the page. In addition, there is now a Google logo instead of a Chrome logo on the top.
Around 15 Procent faster
The basic functionality of the third generation Chromecast remained the same compared to its predecessor. This means that media can still be played back on the television via smartphone, tablet or PC. The end device is still the control of the Chromecast. However, the streaming device should now be available at 15 Procent faster. So now playback is at 1080p (Full HD) with 60 frames pro Second possible, which should make the picture look a lot smoother.
