Data Jar for iPhone and iPad released: New companion app for shortcuts
With iOS 13 and iPadOS 13, the shortcuts app also came to us. Now there is a new app called Data Jar that supports this. But what can it do?
The developer Simon B. Støvring developed Data Jar. If you keep an eye on the App Store, you know that Støvring has already launched an app that can be integrated into Apple's shortcut app. This is called Scriptable and can execute small, self-written scripts via a shortcut. But what exactly can the developer's latest creation do?
Data Jar: Save data for processing in short commands
How the new app works is pretty easy to describe. You can save data that you can use later in your shortcuts. These can be created in the app or using shortcuts.
For example, I built a shortcut for my shopping list. I store all items that need to be bought in Data Jar before creating my shopping list using shortcuts, which are displayed after the end of the Prozesses ends up in Things 3. How this works exactly can be seen in the following GIF. The app is also well suited as a clipboard manager.
Data Jar is available free of charge from the App Store.
