Honor 30, 30 Pro and 30 Pro+ presented: All specs and prices

Honor has just introduced its three new flagship smartphones for China: the Honor 30, 30 Pro and 30 Pro+. All important specifications and innovations for the devices are available here.

There have been plenty of rumors and leaks about the Honor 30 series for weeks. Honor could hardly have come up with any more surprises when introducing the three devices. Just like its parent company Huawei with the P40 series, Honor has now introduced three new smartphones. In addition to the Honor 30 and 30 Pro, there is now a third device, the 30 Pro+, which is supposed to be positioned even higher than the Honor 30 Pro.

Due to the US sanctions, all Honor 30 Series devices now come without Google services. However, Honor installs its own app gallery with the integrated app search. This should also make it possible to install apps such as Instagram, WhatsApp and Co., since the app search uses alternative app stores or manufacturer websites to get to the respective app versions.

Honor 30

The display on the Honor 30 is a 6,57-inch OLED panel with a Full HD+ resolution. Like the Honor 20, the Honor 30 also has a punch hole on the top left edge. Compared to its predecessor, however, the hole on the Honor 30 is much more oval and is very reminiscent of the punch hole on the P40. The refresh rate on the standard model is still 60 Hz. The Honor 30 uses the Kirin 990 as its processor, which is slightly weaker than the Kirin 985. There is also a choice of 128 GB or 256 GB storage and 8 GB RAM. The battery on the standard model is 3900 mAh.

Honor uses a triple camera for the camera. The main sensor is a 40 megapixel sensor. In addition, Honor has installed a 16 megapixel ultra-wide angle and an 8 megapixel telephoto zoom sensor. Honor uses a 32 megapixel lens as the front camera.

The Honor 30 will be available in China for the equivalent of 390 euros. However, it is still unclear when the device will come to Germany and Austria.

Honor 30 Pro

The display on the Honor 30 Pro is a 30-inch OLED panel, like the Honor 6,57. The resolution is also identical to the cheaper model at Full HD+, as is the existing punch hole. However, the refresh rate on the Honor 30 Pro is 90 Hz instead of 60 Hz. It is also a so-called "waterfall" display, which is simply very strongly rounded at the sides. The Honor 30 Pro also uses the slightly more powerful Kirin 990 5G as a processor. The RAM is 8 GB or 12 GB, depending on the variant, and the internal memory is 128 GB or 256 GB. The battery is 4000 mAh and can be recharged quickly thanks to 40 watt fast charging.

Honor uses a quad camera for the Honor 30 Pro. The main sensor is the 40 megapixel IMX-600 sensor from Sony. An 8 megapixel periscope lens is used for zoom, which allows a five-fold optical zoom. Digital zoom is possible up to thirty times. A 16 megapixel lens is used for ultra-wide angle. The fourth sensor is a 2 megapixel depth sensor. The front camera on the Honor 40 Pro uses the same 32 megapixel camera as in the standard model.

The Honor 30 Pro will cost the equivalent of 520 euros in China. It is also still unclear when the Honor 30 Pro will come to Germany and Austria.

Honor 30 Pro +

The Honor 30 Pro+ differs from the 30 Pro in only a few points. The display on the 30 Pro+ is also a 6,57-inch OLED panel. The resolution is Full HD+, just like the two cheaper models. The punch hole is also the same as on the Honor 30 and 30 Pro. The refresh rate on the 40 Pro+ is 90Hz, just like on the Pro model. Honor has also rounded the display off to the sides. The Honor 30 Pro+ also uses the Kirin 990 processor with 8 or 12 GB RAM and 128 or 256 GB storage. Unlike the 4000 Pro, the 40 mAh battery can also be charged wirelessly with 27 watts, rather than just wired with 40 watts.

The Honor 30 Pro+ also uses a quad camera. The main sensor is the 40 megapixel IMX-50 sensor from Sony, which is already known from the P700 series. Otherwise, however, the camera system is no different from the Honor 40 Pro.
