Honor Magic 2 officially presented: the concept smartphone without a notch
Today Honor presented the new Honor Magic 2 at an event in China. The new concept smartphone dispenses with the notch and comes with a slider for the front cameras. All details summarized.
The Honor Magic 2 is like the current Huawei flagships Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro with the latest Kirin 980 Proprocessor equipped. Otherwise, the smartphone looks completely different: As some manufacturers from China have already shown, Honor now also comes with a camera slider. This is how the smartphone can be pushed open when using the front cameras.
Honor Magic 2 with top equipment for little money
On the front you will find the 6,39 inch FHD+ display without a notch. This is replaced by a slider, with which the three front cameras can be extended. However, the headphone cup is located directly above the display. On the back you have the Huawei P20 Pro inspired and installed a triple camera with three lenses (24 MP monochrome lens, 16 MP color lens and 16 MP wide-angle lens). The front cameras have a resolution of 16 megapixels and 2x 2 megapixels, with the latter two being used for 3D face unlocking.
As already mentioned above, the Kirin 6,39 is inside the 19,5-inch FHD+ smartphone with a 9:980 format. This is supported by 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM, in combination with 128 or 256 GB of internal memory . The battery is 3500 mAh and can be charged to 40 within 30 minutes using a 80W power supply and SuperCharge Profill up cent. The operating system used is Android 9 Pie with EMUI 9.0.
Also extra features of the Mate 20 Pro has been installed here. There is better GPS than the predecessor, together with a fingerprint sensor in the display. There's also Dual SIM (Dual 4G VoLTE), Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2,4 GHz and 5 GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, NFC and USB Type-C on top.
Honor Magic 2: price and availability
The price of the Honor Magic 2 in China is the equivalent of around 480 euros. If there is a lot of interest, there will probably also be a market launch in Germany probeer - but the price will certainly skyrocket. Almost 500 to 600 euros would probably be here, 480 euros would be "too cheap" by our standards. Models come with either 6GB of RAM and 128 or 256GB of internal storage, or 8GB of RAM with 256GB of internal storage to choose from. This then costs around the equivalent of 607 euros.
