As several sources have already suggested, Huawei will bring the tablets presented in Italy last week to us in Germany and Austria. We should have the tablets by the end of August.

Huawei is also represented in the tablet market. In addition to high-end and mid-range models, there is also an affordable entry-level model. With the two new tablets they want to fill the summer gap for tablets, also here in Germany and Austria. A press release now reveals the exact specs.

Huawei MediaPad M5 Lite: The Specs

With the M5 Lite, you bring a slimmed-down model into the high-end range of Huawei tablets. The tablet has a 10,1-inch full HD display, which can be operated with the M-Pen Lite. Inside there is an in-house Kirin 659 octa-coreProprocessor along with 3GB of RAM. There is 32GB of internal storage for files. This can be expanded with a microSD card.

The 7500mAh battery should provide enough runtime and can be quickly recharged using the Huawei Super Charge. The software is based on Android 8.0 Oreo with the EMUI 8.0 interface. There is also a fingerprint sensor and 4 speakers for surround sound as extras.

The tablet should be available from us from the end of August and will be available for 299 euros for the WLAN model and 349 euros for the LTE model.

Huawei MediaPad T5: The cheaper tablet

The MediaPad T5 is cheaper, but doesn't differ much from the high-end tablet. The battery is only about 5100mAh and there is no support for the M-Pen. Savings are also made here in terms of the equipment and quality of the speakers. But manageable for the cheaper price.

Here the WLAN model costs 229 euros, the LTE model costs 279 euros. This should also be available from us together with the MediaPad M5 Lite at the end of August.
