Huawei P50 series: 10x optical zoom and launch on April 17th

Despite the currently very difficult situation in which Huawei is, according to current information, they will soon present new smartphones of the Huawei P50 series. Now a new leak reveals the likely date for the launch and there is also new information about the camera.
As a result, the upcoming P50 series from Huawei will be equipped with the new IMX800 main sensor, which is a proud 1 inch in size. This is to use the familiar RYYB technology that was introduced two years ago with the P30 Pro was introduced. In addition, a new 64 megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera is to be used. This is supposed to be a so-called free-form lens that reduces distortion and image errors. This technology was already introduced at the end of last year Plus model the Mate 40 series introduced.
Zoom details
When it comes to zoom, there have been countless and sometimes completely different rumors in the past weeks and months. There has been talk of one for a long time 20x optical and 200x digital zoom. Huawei seems to have stopped these plans for the time being, because according to current information, the top model of the P50 series should only allow a 10x optical zoom. Thus, one could assume that the Chinese manufacturer compared to the predecessor shouldn't have improved anything, but that's not the case, because the zoom camera should also come with RYYB technology.
