Of course, Sony also came back to the IFA in Berlin with some new ones Proproducts in your luggage. These included two new Xperia devices. I have summarized what Sony has presented exactly here.

Sony Xperia smartphones

Sony Xperia XZ1

Last year at the IFA the Xperia XZ, followed this year by the Xperia XZ1. It still comes in the typical design language of the XZ series. On the front of the aluminum unibody is a 5,2 inch full HD display. Among other things, there is a 3D scanner above the display. With it you can protect your smartphone safely. The smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 835. This is supported by 4GB of RAM. 64GB of internal memory was installed. You can do this too proexpand easily. A 2720mAh battery provides energy. The XZ is one of the first smartphones to get Android 8.0 software. The camera has a resolution of 19MP and is also capable of video recordings with 960FPS.

The Sony Xperia XZ1 will be available from September. You can buy it in black, blue and pink for an RRP of € 700.

Xperia XZ1 Compact

The XZ1 Compact differs from its big brother in only a few things. For example, the display is only 4,6 inches and only has HD resolution. It's also made of plastic, which I think is a joke for the high price. In addition, the internal memory is only 32GB in size. The rest can also be found in the normal XZ1.

The Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact will be available from September. It will be available in black, white, turquoise and pink at an RRP of € 600.

Xperia XA1 Compact

The middle class of the company also grew. In addition to the two flagships, the XA1 Plus was also presented. The display is 5,5 inches and has a full HD resolution. The case is made of plastic and houses a fingerprint sensor for the first time in the XA range. The device is powered by a Helio P20 and 4GB RAM. 32GB of internal memory was built in. This can be expanded via microSD. The battery has a capacity of 3420mAh and should last for a day. In the end, the camera still has a resolution of 23MP.

The Sony XA1 Plus will be available in black, gold, pink and blue at a price of € 349 at the end of September

Action camera RX0

Sony also used the IFA to present a new action cam. At first glance you immediately recognize the GoPro similar form factor, which is not bad at all. There are still enough differences in design. The sensor has a resolution of 15,3 megapixels. In addition, a 24mm Zeiss lens was installed. In addition, the camera should intercept falls from up to two meters and in 10m water depth prowork flawlessly. The small action cam also records videos in 4K.

The Sony RX0 will go on sale from October at a ridiculous price of € 850.

Sony Speaker

The homepod gets competition. Sony has presented a smart speaker that looks really very similar to the Homepod, which is why it also has 360 degree speakers. What is different about the Sony Speaker is that it has a small display on one side and is IPX3 certified. The Google Assistant is used as the AI, which means that it can do the same as a Google Home. Commands can be recorded via the 360 degree microphones. Gestures such as a simple wave are also recognized.

The Sony Speaker will be available from December for € 249 (the Homepod will cost more than twice as much) in black, blue and white.

1000X headphones

WF-1000X

These headphones are meant to be the direct competition to the AirPods, which is why they're completely wireless and come in a charging case. They also have noise canceling that you can regulate. For example, if you areprochen, so you can show all the ambient noise again. There is also the option to only let voices through the noise canceling. There is also a touchpad on an earbud and the headphones can adjust the ANC to the current activity.

The WF-1000X will cost around € 219 and will be available in black and gold.

WI-1000X

The WI-1000X are the same as the WF-1000X apart from a few points. Instead of being completely wireless, the WI-1000X have a cable that connects both earbuds. There are also control buttons on this. If a notification is received on the smartphone, the headphones vibrate slightly. The remaining features are identical for both headphones.

The WI-1000X come in black and gold and will cost around € 329.

WH-1000XM2

These headphones have a feature that the WI-1000X does not. You can adjust the ANC based on outside pressure. This can be very practical on the plane. Otherwise they have all the features that the WI-1000X offers, but are over-ear headphones.

The WH-1000XM2 will cost € 379 and will also be available in black and gold.
