It starts on September 13th: all supported devices will receive iOS 10 free of charge. We have therefore listed all devices that will receive the update next week.

Even before the featured iPhone 7 iOS 10 is officially rolled out. The operating system is already ready and is now waiting for its release. Numerous functions await the user, including widgets on the home and lock screen and support for the Apple AirPods. Siri has also received some updates. iPhone 7 and 7 Plus buyers do not need to update to iOS 10, however. It is delivered directly with the new OS.

These devices support iOS 10

With iOS 10, there is no official support from Apple for the iPhone 4. Even so, there are some devices that support iOS 10. On the first day, the download could take a little longer due to the huge onslaught. If you really don't want to wait any longer, you can even go here register for the pre-release version.

  • iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s
  • iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus
  • iPhone SE
  • iPad mini 2, iPad mini 3, iPad mini 4, iPad (4th gen)
  • iPad Air, iPad Air 2
  • iPad Pro 9.7, iPad Pro 12.9
  • iPod Touch (6th Gen)

The affected users should receive the update on Tuesday. If there is no notification on the iPhone or iPad, a look at the system settings under General and Software update is sufficient. Numerous beta testers have already been able to test the operating system and has convinced most of them. Apple itself speaks of the "greatest release ever".
