One UI: Can be used on smartwatches with Galaxy Watch Active
Day by day you can get a more detailed picture of the Galaxy Watch Active. The watch could even be the first Samsung watch to have its own version of One UI get.
SamMobile received the information that the Galaxy Watch could be the first smartwatch from Samsung to get a special version of One UI. With this detail, the colleagues received some images that already show the user interface in action. And then it is immediately noticeable that One UI on the smartwatch is very similar to the current user interface from Tizen. The visual difference is not as big here as when jumping from the Experience UI to the One UI on Samsung smartphones.
New clock faces and an improved display of fitness data
As is usual for smartwatch operating systems, there are new watch faces with every update. A few new ones may only show the date and time or quick access shortcuts to fitness data. And speaking of fitness: Samsung has also made significant improvements here. As with the Apple Watch, there is now an alarm if the heart rate exceeds a certain limit after ten minutes of inactivity. This goes hand in hand with the fact that the heart rate is measured continuously with the Galaxy Watch Active. The images also show that Samsung introduced color codes in the fitness section of the watch. These should show how many steps you have taken that day, whether you have moved within the last hour and how many minutes you have already been active on the current day.
The following still applies: The Galaxy Watch Active will probably work together with the Galaxy S10, the Galaxy S10 More and the Galaxy S10e am Presented February 20. Then we will likely have more information on the new smartwatch user interface.
