OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro introduced: All details, specs and prices

The Chinese manufacturer OnePlus presented its two new smartphones today. The OnePlus 7 and the OnePlus 7 Pro are finally here. We have all the details and specs about the smartphones for you.

OnePlus now plays a major role in the smartphone market. For this reason, they now want to be one of the big players - and they are clearly trying to do that with the OnePlus 7 Pro. It boasts some features that the OnePlus 7 does not have. Likewise, even the slimmed down model does not seem to be worth mentioning for OnePlus. When it was introduced, they in the livestream about not shown.

OnePlus 7: All the details and specs

Generally speaking, the OnePlus 7 only replaces that OnePlus 6T. That's why it doesn't really differ from its predecessor. The OnePlus 7 is 157,7 x 74,8 x 8,2 mm in size, comes with a 6,41 inch AMOLED display and a resolution of 2.340 x 1.080 pixels. It has a 19,5:9 aspect ratio and still has a display cutout on the top - the "notch". Inside is the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 octa-core processor, together with 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM. A Qualcomm Adreno 640 is installed as the graphics unit. The internal UFS 3.0 NAND memory is 128 or 256 GB.

Instead of a triple camera on the OnePlus 7 Pro, there is only a dual camera here. This has a resolution of 48 MP (F/1.7, OIS, EIS) and 5 megapixels (F/2.4) on the back. A Sony IMX586 is now used as the chip. Videos are possible in 4K up to a maximum of 60 fps. The front camera offers a resolution of 16 megapixels (F/2.0). The battery is 3700 mAh and can be quickly charged using Warp Charge 30.

Other extras include the new stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, Bluetooth 5.0, dual SIM, a fingerprint sensor in the display and the Android 9.0 operating system with OxygenOS. Unfortunately, there is still no wireless charging and IP certification.

OnePlus 7 Pro: Right at the forefront

The OnePlus 7 Pro now wants to be at the top of the game - that's exactly why they gave their flagship a lot of power. It is therefore very different from the smaller 7 model and even comes with a pop-up camera. In general, with its dimensions of 162,6 x 75,9 x 8,8 mm, it is a fairly large smartphone, which comes with a 6,67 inch AMOLED display. The resolution is also higher and is 3.120 x 1.440 pixels - the refresh rate is also 90 Hz. This is normally only available on gaming smartphones such as the Razer Phone 2.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 octa-core processor is also at work under the hood, along with 6 GB, 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM. This equipment comes with 128 GB or 256 GB of internal memory. The Adreno 256 graphics unit is also used here.

The camera is probably the special feature of the OnePlus 7 Pro. There is no longer a front camera - at least not visible. This now moves up when needed and then hides back in the smartphone so as not to waste any display space. This also means that the "notch" has been eliminated, which not everyone likes. The triple camera comes with a 48 megapixel lens (F/1.6, OIS), a 16 megapixel wide-angle camera (F/2.2, OIS, 117°) and an 8 megapixel lens with 3x optical zoom (F/2.4, 78mm focal length). In contrast to the smaller 7 model, there is also a laser autofocus (LAF). The front camera also has a resolution of 16 megapixels.

The OnePlus 7 Pro also features stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, a 4000 mAh battery, dual SIM support, Bluetooth 5.0 and a fingerprint sensor in the display. Android 9 is used as the operating system – for the Android Q beta The OnePlus 7 Pro is also qualified. Unfortunately, the Pro model does not have an official IP certification, but according to the manufacturer it is still waterproof. There is also no wireless charging on board.

OnePlus 7 Series: These are the prices

The OnePlus 7 costs 6 euros in the version with 128 GB RAM and 559 GB storage. The variant with 8 GB / 256 GB costs 609 euros - both variants come in the color "Mirror Gray". There are no other color variants. The OnePlus 7 should be available from June.

The cheapest version of the OnePlus 7 Pro (6/128GB) costs 709 euros, the 8/256GB version costs 759 euros, and the most expensive version with 12 GB RAM costs 829 euros. Sales are scheduled to start on May 23, 2019. The smartphone will be available to community members tomorrow on the OnePlus website for sale - with delivery until May 22nd. It will be available in the colors "Mirror Gray", "Nebula Blue" and "Almond".

An interesting note for the Austrians among you: all models there cost ten euros less.
