Pocket Casts is a popular podcast app that is available for desktop as well as iOS and Android. The variant for Android and iOS is now free.

If you wanted to use Pocket Casts up to now, you would have to pay around two euros for the Android or iOS app. The desktop and web versions then cost extra, a total of nine euros. That is changing now, since yesterday it was known that the podcast app for the mobile platforms will be free of charge. Nevertheless, the essential functions are retained. Here is a small list:

Desktop apps including macOS, Windows and Web apps
Cloud storage for creators and listeners who want to use Pocket Casts for all of their audio and video files
Exclusive app icons and themes

This costs EUR 0,99 a month or EUR 10 a year. Commendable: If you already have the desktop app or the web player, Plus is free for three years. This bonus is activated automatically, you don't have to do anything else here.
