Some resourceful Reddit users have spotted some new lines of code in a possible upcoming version. There are indications that the exchange function could even move in soon. A few other nice features were also found.

The last update caused disappointment among many users. Among other things, there is a non-working Pokemon rating of his team leader. This praises all Pokémon, should they be bad or good. Sentences like, "Your Pokémon is so good, I can't even rate it," heard almost every user who turned off this functionprobeer In addition, many users were disappointed that you can only go a maximum of 10km/h to hatch eggs. But Niantic has some interesting features up its sleeve.

Notes on the swap function, new lock modules and buddy mode

As some Reddit users could see from the code, a few lines indicate a swap function. With the codes “Trade_result”, “Trade_offer”, “Trade_search”, “Trade_response” it should be possible to display the exchange result and to make an offer to the exchange partner and to search for the exchange.

Another feature could soon move in: a buddy function. In the Pokémon series, Ash is accompanied by Pikachu. The matching lines of code "Buddy_shoulder", "Buddy_medium", "buddy_candy_awarded" and "km_buddy_distance" should also bring a companion to Pokémon GO. In addition, “buddy_candy_awarded” could indicate that the companion monster can even collect sweets during the tour.

There could be some changes regarding the lure modules and smoke. So far, it has not been possible to determine which category of Pokémon would like to attract with a lure module or smoke. So in the future you should be able to get different lure modules that only lure water, plant, ice or fire Pokémon. How exactly this is supposed to work is not yet known.

And finally, three more code changes from the previous version were discovered. The first thing that was discovered was a "VR" folder in the files. Maybe soon you will be able to go hunting for Pokémon with your VR glasses. Second there was an entry called "activity_catch_legend_pokemon". That could indicate an upcoming event or medal where it is necessary to catch some legendary Pokémon. Something disappointing in connection with Pokéstops was also discovered in the source code: the entry “exceeded_daily_limit” could introduce a daily limit on how often you can visit Pokéstops. It is not yet known when the features mentioned will move into the game.
