Ring is no longer an unknown name when it comes to smart doorbells. With the Ring Video Doorbell 2, the manufacturer has now presented the next generation with many new features.

Looking at it, one would not be able to determine what is the first and what is the second generation. For the Ring Video Doorbell Pro 2, the manufacturer adopted the design of the original model. In addition, some functions have also been inherited from this model, such as setting the motion zones, which allows you to determine in which areas motion should be recorded. But what exactly is new?

Ring Video Doorbell Pro 2: Many innovations inside

The two biggest additions are 3D motion detection and bird's eye view.

The previously mentioned movement zones can be defined more precisely by the former. So there is no better way to set which areas the camera should ignore. And while we're at it: The camera delivers images with 1536p resolution. Thanks to the viewing angle of 150 degrees in all directions, you should also be able to detect even the smallest movement. Even at night you get a sharp video through the night vision mode. In addition, the integrated microphone was updated. This now comes with a revised noise suppression so that you can better understand the person calling.

The bird's eye view works as the name suggests. In the event of a movement, an image is generated from this perspective, which is intended to better visualize where it was registered.

Prices and availability

The video doorbell Pro 2 is available from March 31st for 249 euros. She is expelled by the Manufacturers yourself and also through Amazon.
