Surface Earbuds: Microsoft introduces its own wireless headphones

In addition to the new Surface Pro 7, laptops 3 and Pro and the 2020 devices Surface Neo and Surface Duo Microsoft also surprisingly presented its own wireless headphones (True Wireless Sound). Unsurprisingly, these are called Surface Earbuds - they also have exclusive functions.
Last year Microsoft already had theirs Microsoft Surface Headphones presented. Now they have followed suit with the Surface Earbuds. These have a very eye-catching design because they are round. The Surface Earbuds have some interesting features. Gestures such as triple tapping should be able to start Spotify on Android smartphones, for example, or the volume or songs should also be able to be changed using gestures. The sound quality should be very high thanks to "Omnisonic Sound" - Microsoft promises.
Four microphones and office integration
Microsoft's ecosystem also comes into play. Microsoft has put two microphones into the headphones and the sound is filtered again, which is supposed to improve the voice quality when making calls. In Power Point presentations, you should be able to control the presentation with a swipe gesture and the presentation can be translated into 60 languages in real time using the microphones. Texts can also be dictated instead of typed in Word and Outlook.
You should be able to read, answer and delete e-mails with the headphones. You can also start Cortana or another assistant, such as the Google Assistant, with a double tap. Calls can also be accepted or rejected. Other Office features have not yet been shown. But there were even more applications to be seen in the trailer. We assume that more features are planned.
The battery and price of the Surface Earbuds
Microsoft promises that the Surface Earbuds will last for around 8 hours on a single charge. With the case you should be able to get up to 24 hours more battery out. The case can be charged using USB-C. The headphones are available in the US for $ 249 Market come, which is equivalent to about 226 euros. According to Microsoft, the headphones will be shipped in the USA by the end of 2019. The German market launch will probably not be postponed until 2020.
