It should be on the market as early as 2016: the first Surface Phone. Now there is a new rumor about what should be built into the high-end smartphone - a whole 8 gigabytes of RAM and the fastest chip in a smartphone, the Snapdragon 830.

After the not very successful and not very popular Lumia series, which was taken over by Nokia, Microsoft now wants to get back into the smartphone market despite some improvements - with a very interesting, new Surface Phone, this one even this year could be introduced by Microsoft. But it is still not certain that it could really be presented in 2016, because some rumors point to a release date not until 2017.

What's in the upcoming Surface Phone?

After the actually well-equipped Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL - Microsoft has not yet had enough flagships that still did not bring the desired success: instead of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 in the Lumia 950 XL, the Surface Phone should rely on the currently fastest chip on the market: the Snapdragon 830. In addition to many Android devices and iOS users, for whom the smartphone could be interesting, could also get their money's worth with demanding smartphone gamers.

In addition, there should be 8GB of RAM - no smartphone on the market has so much RAM installed. It is currently unknown why so much so much memory is required. Rumors suggest that the Lumia successor should even have a full Windows 10 on board, no longer a stripped-down Windows 10 Mobile and that this performance is required by the software for the features.

We'll of course stay tuned to the Surface Phone and keep you up to date with the latest rumors and information.
