Xiaomi 12 series presented for Europe

The Xiaomi 12 series has been available in China since December 2021, and the devices have now been officially unveiled for Europe.
The Xiaomi 12 is the latest flagship from the Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi, which made its debut in China at the end of December celebrated. The series has three models up its sleeve, which have since found their way to Europe. Exciting: Unlike the Mi 11, all three models will be launched directly in Europe, the Xiaomi 12X, 12 and 12 Pro.
Xiaomi 12X:
The Xiaomi 12X is the cheapest model in the series and probably the successor to the Xiaomi Mi 11i. Inside is a Snapdragon 870 with 8 gigabytes of RAM and 256 gigabytes of internal storage, which is probably the only configuration. The 6,28″ display has a Full HD+ resolution and supports AMOLED as well as a maximum adaptive refresh rate of 120 Hertz. The device has three cameras on the back, with the main sensor having a resolution of 50 megapixels and taking wide-angle photos.

The ultra-wide-angle camera has a resolution of 13 megapixels and a field of view of 123°. The third sensor only has a resolution of 5 megapixels and has two functions: telephoto and macro shots. The front camera sits in a punch hole in the middle of the display and has a resolution of 32 megapixels. The battery is large at 4500 mAh and recharges with a cable with 67 watts. Like all Xiaomi 12 models, the device runs MIUI 13, based on Android 12.

Xiaomi 12
The Xiaomi 12 is the “cheaper” flagship, but it still looks a lot like the Xiaomi 12X. The same 6,28″ Full-HD+ AMOLED display, the same cameras and also a 4500 mAh battery. In addition to 67 watts per cable, this can also be charged wirelessly with 50 watts and thus also supports 10W "reverse" charging. But the biggest upgrade is waiting in the Processor, instead of the Snapdragon 870 you get the latest flagship SoC from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The device is available with 8 gigabytes of RAM, but with either 128 or 256 gigabytes of internal memory.

Xiaomi 12 Pro:
The flagship of the series is the Xiaomi 12 Pro. In addition to a larger display (6,73 inches), it also supports LTPO and WHQD+ resolution, as well as Gorilla Glass Victus display protection. The single-cell 4600 mAh battery is recharged with a maximum of 120 watts by cable or 50 watts wirelessly. The charger is included.

The device is only available with 256 gigabytes, but with either 8 or 12 gigabytes of LPDDR5 RAM. The cameras have been upgraded to 50 megapixels, so in addition to the 50 megapixel main camera, the ultra wide-angle camera and the telephoto camera also have 50 megapixels.
Prices and availability
The advance sale of the Xiaomi 12 Series starts in Germany on March 15 at 19:00 p.m. The official start of retail sales is March 29th.

- The Xiaomi 12 is available in two variants: the 8 GB + 128 GB variant with an RRP of 849,90 euros, and the 8 GB + 256 GB variant with an RRP of 899,90 euros.
- The Xiaomi 12X in the 8 GB + 256 GB variant is available at an RRP of 699,90 euros.
