Huawei FreeLace: New in-ears presented
Yesterday Huawei introduced the new P30 range before. And even if they were the stars of the show, the company still showed in-ears, the Huawei FreeLace.
If I look at the FreeLace like this and look at the optical only, I would most likely use the Libratone Track + Wireless to compare. The two ear-buds are connected with a cable that runs behind the neck when you have the FreeLace in your ears. When it comes to colors, Huawei offers Graphite Black, Amber Sunrise, Amerald Green and Moonlight Silver - matching the colors of the new Huawei P30 smartphones. For activities in the water, these in-ears are protected against the ingress of water and dust according to IPX5.
Only work with USB-C smartphones
The Huawei FreeLace only work with smartphones that have a USB-C port on the bottom. But why? If you pull on the control element with the volume buttons, such a connection appears, via which, and only that, the headphones are charged. So you don't have to worry about taking another cable with you. In addition, you can pair the headphones with your smartphone extra quickly if you plug them in and they come from Huawei. Then a window appears as you know it when you manufacture the AirPods with an iOS device.
The cost of the Huawei FreeLace is 100 euros.
Cool headphones, but kind of expensive.
Do they also come to Germany and if so, is a date known?
Hi Boris,
I took a look at the Huawei site and couldn't find it yet. Maybe they'll still appear there.
