OnePlus presented the new OnePlus 5T in a live stream on Thursday evening. The successor to the OnePlus 5 does not differ much from its predecessor, but the display should change fundamentally. A borderless display with 6 inches is also on board. These are all the specs.
Like its predecessor, the device is equipped with a Snapdragon 835 processor. This is supported by either 6GB or 8GB of RAM. The amount of internal memory is also no different from its predecessor. You can choose between 64GB or 128GB of memory for apps and media.

18: 9 display with 6 inches
In the latest flagship, a rimless 18: 9 display is being installed for the first time. With this, the startup is clearly following the trend of 2017 - almost all manufacturers rely on large displays with little bezel in the top models. The 6-inch display offers a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels and is energy-saving thanks to the latest AMOLED technology.
Unlike its predecessor, the fingerprint sensor is now on the back. The physical buttons have also disappeared for good and have been replaced by software control buttons. In addition to the fingerprint sensor, the manufacturer uses a "Face Unlock" technology similar to Apple. This should unlock the smartphone in less than 1 second - all you need to do is hold the smartphone in front of your face and double-tap the display. By the way: a jack plug for headphones is still available on the underside.
Powerful 20MP dual camera
A 16-megapixel notch is installed for selfies. Effects such as bokeh should also deliver very good results with the front camera. On the back there is a vertical dual camera with 16 & 20 megapixels and an aperture of f / 1.7. As a result, it should be even more luminous than that of the predecessor OnePlus 5.
A 3300mAh battery provides enough power. Using OnePlus "Dash Charge" you can recharge it to 30 percent in 60 minutes. As with the predecessor, a special charger is required for this, but this is included in the delivery. The current Android 7.1.1 Nougat is pre-installed as software, and an open beta for Android Oreo is due to start in December this year.
OnePlus 5T: price and models
The OnePlus 5T should be available in two models from November 21, 2017. The basic model with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage comes on the market for the price of its predecessor of 499 euros. Those who like the color “Midnight Black” will get the OnePlus 5T with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. With a price of 559 euros, it is a bit more expensive.
Both models come to us in Germany and Austria. In addition, for the first time there is also a transparent protective cover with every order.
