The Samsung Galaxy S11 will not be released until spring 2020, but there are already the first leaks and guesses as to what the next Samsung flagship will look like. In order to save you reading through all the articles about leaks, we have summarized everything here at a glance.

The core features of the Galaxy S11 lineup are rumored to be better cameras, the new Prozessor Exynos 9830 (in other countries a SnapdragonProprocessor from Qualcomm), 5G for the entire row, and an alternative to the hole punch display. How or whether Samsung fulfills all of these points is currently unclear, but what the eventual implementation could look like is what this article is about.

The camera

Front camera

On the subject of the front camera, I could use a pop-up camera like the OnePlus 7 Pro or imagine a flip camera like the Samsung A80, but it will probably still be a camera under the display. The advantage here is that fewer moving parts have to be built into the phone and, compared to the predecessor, an even higher screen-to-body ratio (more display, less edge) is possible.

The latest leak from GIZMOCHINA indicates, however, more in the direction of a hole-punch camera, but the hole-punch will be even smaller than on the previous model and will probably be in the middle.

main camera

The main camera will most likely have the new "Isocell Bright HMX" sensor. A sensor that Samsung developed in collaboration with Xiaomi. It offers a resolution of 108 megapixels and summarizes four pixels - what should come out in the end is a higher-resolution, more detailed image. Nevertheless, Google has always asked us about the Pixel devices taught that megapixels are not everything, but that the software has to play along properly.

Another feature of the HMX sensor is that it can create good images even in poor light and has a five-fold optical zoom. Unfortunately, the features and the many megapixels also have one disadvantage: The sensor becomes larger and is therefore a whole 1 or 1,33 inches (3,38 cm) (most smartwatches are this big) in size. In which of the S11 models it will ultimately be installed is still unknown. I myself suspect it is in the Samsung Galaxy S11 Plus or even in the normal S11, in my opinion it is most unlikely in the S11e.

If you want to test the sensor earlier: This is already in the Xiaomi Mi Note 10, which is already on the market.

What about 5G?

As such, the entire lineup should receive 5G, currently 5G from Samsung is only available in the S10 5G and in the Note 10+ 5G, although both of them don't seem cheap to me. If the S11e does get 5G, it will at least bring the price of 5G smartphones down a little. However, you can already do that Samsung Galaxy A90 with the new mobile technology in stores and for just under 750 euros.

Other features

Where is the jack connection?

It is unclear whether the Galaxy S11 series will stay true to the jack connection. My guess is that he died for Samsung as all recently released Samsung smartphones abdicated him. Examples are the Notes 10Row that Galaxy A80 und auch das Galaxy A90.

Which display?

The display is also not entirely insignificant. I hope it gets lighter, maybe Samsung can even make it brighter than the one on the iPhone 11 Pro Max close. Another important point for me is the refresh rate. OnePlus, Asus and even Google have already shown Samsung that it is possible to bring Samsung's OLED displays to 90, no, even to 120 Hertz.

In general, 90Hz is very comfortable for scrolling through websites or Instagram feeds. One thing that will unfortunately suffer as a result is battery life, so you'd have to increase the size of the battery and that would make the device thicker. In fact, I would use this comprodefinitely miss if I get the 90Hz for it.

According to the UniverseIce the Samsung Galaxy s11 should even receive a 5.000 mAh battery and a screen with a high refresh rate. In the end, the S11 could have a battery that is almost twice as large as the Pixel 4.

We still have to be patient, however, because we won't be able to hold the Galaxy S2020 in our own hands until spring 11 at the earliest.
