After ex-US President Trump's Twitter account was suspended, his media company began developing its own social media service. This is called Truth Social and is now launching on iOS in the US.

Due to the storming of the Capitol in Washington earlier last year, various social media accounts blocked by Donald Trump. It was quickly announced that the ex-president wanted to work on his own social network with his media company. This is now available under the name Truth Social on iOS in the US. the Service website also announces that it will also be available on the Play Store and in more regions in the future.

Truth Social: Similarities to Twitter

On the screenshot in App Store It quickly becomes apparent that Truth Social is similar to Twitter in a number of respects. You notice that, for example, when you compare the layouts of the Profilseite, which are almost identical. Individual posts are labeled "Truths" and listed in the "Truth Feed." If you want to share an existing post with your subscribers, you can do this with a "ReTruth".

The platform has been tested with around 500 users since September and is now live in the US. It is not known when it will be distributed more widely and in the Play Store.
