The Chinese manufacturer Vivo officially presented the new Vivo X60 series in China yesterday. Whether and when these devices will come to us in Europe is still unclear at this point in time.

The newly introduced series consists of two devices: the regular X60 and then another Pro-Variant. Both models differ primarily in design, battery size, cameras and of course the price.

Vivo X60 series: Specs

The design of both smartphones differs only slightly from each other. While the panel at Promodel is slightly rounded on both sides, the regular model uses a flat display. This has a diagonal of 6,56 inches, has a sufficiently sharp resolution of 2.376 x 1.080 pixels and supports a particularly smooth refresh rate of 120 Hertz. Of course, both are OLED panels, which are only interrupted by a small punch hole in the middle.

If we turn the smartphones around, we notice the next difference. The X60 comes in three different colors while buyers at Pro-Model have a choice of only two colors. Another difference concerns the camera module, which the X60 Pro is a little bigger. The reason for this is an additional zoom camera, which enables a 5x optical and 60x digital zoom. Unfortunately, the regular model has to do without this sensor, but otherwise there is no difference in the other cameras: 48 megapixel gimbal main camera, 13 megapixel ultra wide-angle camera, which can also be used as a macro camera at the same time and another 13 megapixel camera for 2- times optical zoom shots. Vivo worked with Zeiss on the cameras. The front camera has a resolution of 32 megapixels and, as already mentioned, sits in a small punch hole in the display.

Origin OS 1.0, based on Android version 11, is used as software. This software differs significantly from Funtouch OS 10, which is for example the X51 5G or Y70 is used. A Samsung chip is actually at work under the hood, namely the new Exynos 1080, which is manufactured using the 5-nanometer process. The X60 is supported by 8 or 12 GB of RAM with either 128 or 256 GB of flash memory. That Promodel is only available in a version with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB flash memory. There are also slight differences in the battery capacity, because while the regular model is equipped with a 4.300 mAh battery, the Pro even 100 mAh less. Thanks to fast charging with up to 33 watts, both devices can be charged relatively quickly.

No Vivo X60 Pro+?

A few months ago, the Chinese manufacturer was still hiring Pro+ the X50 series before. So far, however, such a model is missing from the current X60 series, but that will change very soon. Vivo confirmed namely, a Vivo X60 Pro+ to be presented towards the end of January. This should match the current topProprocessor from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 888. What other differences there should be is not yet known.
