Xiaomi today officially presented the successor to the Mi 10 series, the Xiaomi Mi 11, in China. The smartphone has top features for little money. You can find out what it has to offer and how much it costs in the following lines.

The highlight of the Xiaomi Mi 11 is clearly the large OLED display. It measures an impressive 6,81 inches, has a razor-sharp resolution with WQHD +, supports a fluid refresh rate of 120 Hertz and a 480 Hertz touch sampling rate. According to the manufacturer, the maximum brightness should be up to 1.500 nits. In addition, as with its predecessors, the panel is slightly curved on both sides and Xiaomi relies on a punch hole for the front camera.

Xiaomi Mi 11: The rest of the specs

The top smartphone is powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, which is manufactured using the 5-nanometer process and is currently one of the strongest Probelongs to cessors. The Mi 11 is supported by either 8 or 12 GB of RAM with 128 GB or 256 GB of flash memory. The new MIUI 12, based on Android 10, is used as the software. An update to the latest Android version will surely follow soon. Another highlight in addition to the display is certainly the battery - not so much the capacity of 4.600 mAh, but rather the charging functions, because the Mi 11 supports up to 55 watts of wired and up to 50 watts of wireless fast charging. On top of that, reverse wireless charging with up to 10 watts is also possible, which means that it can be used as a charging station for other devices, such as smartphones or in-ear headphones.

Of course we also have to devote ourselves to the cameras, because a lot has happened here, and not just from the outside. The new, square camera hill on the back contains a total of three sensors: a new main camera with 108 megapixels, a 13 megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and, last but not least, a 5 megapixel camera for macro shots. The last one is a so-called telephoto macro camera, which was launched in the middle of the year with the Poco F2 Pro was introduced for the first time and produced really good results. The already mentioned front camera sits in a small punch hole and has a resolution of 20 megapixels.

Otherwise, the Xiaomi Mi 11 has a fingerprint sensor integrated into the display, with which the device can be unlocked safely and quickly. It also supports dual SIM, Wi-Fi 6, an infrared sensor and stereo speakers, which the manufacturer claims should sound particularly good.

The rumors were true - after Apple showed everyone, the new top smartphone from Xiaomi comes without a charger.

Xiaomi Mi 11: price, colors & availability

The Xiaomi Mi 11 is available in a total of five different colors. The buyer can choose between Midnight Gray, Horizon Blue, Frost White, Lilac Purple and Honey Beige. The back of the last two colors is made of vegan leather and the other three colors are made of matt glass. The model with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of flash memory costs the equivalent of around 500 euros and the version with 12 GB of RAM and double storage costs around 590 euros for the buyer. When exactly the Mi 11 will appear in Europe is unfortunately still unclear at this point in time. But if you believe a serious leaker, the presentation for Europe should take place in the first quarter of 2021. So far these are all speculations, so it remains to be seen.
