Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max review: Really so much Pro?

Since September 20th this year, the new iPhone 11 Pro Max available on the market. I've been using it since day one, and I share my first impressions with you.
The new iPhone 11 is a good four months away Pro Max now on the market. I've been using the iPhone every day for a few months now, and in this review I'll clarify whether the new flagship really does that much Pro is what it says it is.

Unboxing and processing
This year, too, Apple is not packing anything spectacular in its usual packaging for the iPhone. If you open the packaging, the device with the triple camera comes straight towards you. Apple would like to set an accent and score with the new cameras.
The only new thing that Apple has also included is an 18 watt fast charger, which is now included in the packaging for the first time since the first generation of iPhone. Another special feature is that Apple uses USB-C for the power plug - unfortunately only USB-C uses Lightning.
The iPhone now has a new color that is called "Midnight Green" and is hidden under a new frosted glass. In addition, Apple has shown once again how to process a smartphone in a high-quality and elegant manner.

The visual appearance of the display has not changed, the notch is the same size as it has been since the first day. A new specialty that Apple mentions, however, is the increase in the brightness of the display, which now reaches a maximum of 1200 nits. Apple calls the whole thing "Super Retina XDR".
I could clearly see this difference when watching series or films. If you put an older iPhone next to you, you can clearly see the differences. In everyday life, on the other hand, the brightness only brings the advantage of direct sunlight on the display that its content procan easily see. According to Apple, Face ID should also be around 30 years old Procent faster. While I can confirm Face ID is faster based on my daily use, is this around 30? ProI can't judge.
The handling
Holding iPhone 11 Pro Max in hand, you don't notice any real difference to its predecessors. The fact that the smartphone has become a few millimeters thicker is not immediately noticeable. In addition, the second biggest innovation is probably the frosted glass back, which no longer slips out of your hand so quickly and feels very soft and noble. The Apple logo has moved to the middle of the device and the iPhone lettering has completely disappeared. Although the CE mark is still present, it cannot be removed for legal reasons.

It's finally here - the triple camera
All Apple fans who like to take pictures with their iPhone had to put up with the euphoria of the Android competition. But now Apple has finally done it - and better! Now three camera modules have finally been installed in the iPhone. The special feature of these modules is likely to be the ultra-wide-angle lens for everyone. This lens takes 120 degree wide-angle images. And these can really be seen.
Although the Android competition has mostly installed an ultra-wide-angle camera, Apple has perfected the interaction between the camera modules and the software considerably. Because within the iOS camera app it is possible to manually switch between the three different modes, or to switch seamlessly between the modes with the "turntable" offered in the software - unlike any other smartphone manufacturer change without even realizing it in practice.

"Deep Fusion" and the night mode
Since the update to iOS 13.2, Apple has been offering an integrated function called “Deep Fusion” on its latest iPhone. This offers more image details and sharper images. The night mode is integrated in the software and switches itself on automatically when it is dark - this can bring really fantastic pictures in the evening.

Performance and battery life
The A13 Bionic Prozessor offers plenty of power and you can feel it. Apps close quickly and launch faster. In order to exhaust the SoC, however, AR applications or something similar are required. The battery capacity of the 11 Pro Max has increased significantly, so with intensive use you can happily use a day from early in the morning until late at night. On the other hand, if you only snap a few photos and check social media on holiday, you will be able to get by for a good one or two days without a socket. I even got a good ten hours of screen-on-time in one day. However, the average should be somewhere between seven and eight hours.
Biggest disadvantage: the small internal memory
In 2019 you should install at least 128 gigabytes of memory, especially if you use your device as a Pro Are defined. And that's exactly what Apple didn't do, and it still only gives every device at least 64 gigabytes of internal flash memory. However, anyone who uses the iCloud or similar can handle it. Nice to know: the prices of the subscription have not increased.
The conclusion: Really a Pro?
The iPhone 11 Pro Max has kept his character and his well-known iPhone look and has only missed marginal but important changes. The matte back gives the iPhone a new look, the triple camera finally offers an ultra wide angle and an automatic night mode with fascinating results and the battery has also been improved enormously. All these things give the “Pro”-description right in my opinion. However, requires a Pro-User has a lot of internal memory, which Apple still hasn't increased to 128 gigabytes.
