HTC U12 Life: These are the specs
Before we take a closer look at the HTC U12 Life in the first pictures, we come to the specs.
The HTC U12 Life comes with a 6-inch display with a FullHD+ resolution (1080×2160 pixels). The notch-free display in 18:9 format also has a display cover of 83 on the front Procent. Under the hood is a Snapdragon 636 along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. There will also be a variant with 128 GB of storage in Taiwan. As an extra, the memory of the HTC U12 Life can be expanded up to 2TB using micro-SD. According to HTC, the new model will be 40 Procent faster and 10 Procent more graphics performance than its predecessor.
The two main cameras come with a resolution of 16 megapixels (f/2.0) and 5 megapixels with f/2.2. The front camera is a 13 megapixel camera with a front flash. Videos in 4K are possible up to 30 FPS and 60 FPS in Full HD. The battery has a capacity of 3600 mAh, with which 12 hours of surfing with LTE should be possible. Only a corresponding test can clarify whether this really corresponds to reality. The integrated fast charging should charge the battery to 40 in 50 minutes Prorefuel.
On top there are stereo speakers, additionally with a 3,5mm jack, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0 and protection against splashing water. The current Android 12 Oreo runs on the HTC U8.1 Life with its own HTC Sense surface.
HTC U12 Life: preliminary conclusion
After the keynote we were allowed to turn off the smartphone for a bitprobeer It looks really good even without a notch and feels good in the hand. I didn't notice that the back should collect fewer fingerprints. Otherwise, the smartphone runs very smoothly at first glance, and the software is no longer as overloaded as it used to be. So it was explicitly decided to omit some apps and no longer necessarily preinstall them. Cool things like an FM tuner are also pre-installed - but everything else has to be clarified in a test.
If the performance is right and the price stays below possibly better models of the competition, the HTC U12 Life could well become an interesting mid-range device.
The HTC U12 Life should be available at the beginning of October in the colors Moonlight Blue (color changes depending on the time of day) and Twilight Purple at a price of 349 euros.
