Vivo Y70 review: unboxing and first impression after a day of use
We reported about this a few days ago I live X51 5G, the Chinese manufacturer's most expensive and best smartphone to date for Europe. Now the much cheaper Vivo Y70 has finally arrived. In this article I unpack the new smartphone and report on my first impressions after about a day of use.
The new devices of the Y series from Vivo are characterized above all by their long battery life, their design and their excellent camera, which are aimed primarily at newcomers who do not want to spend too much money. The Y70 is the best and, at around 290 euros, also the most expensive model in this series.
Vivo Y70 unboxing
From the outside, the sales box hardly differs from other packaging from the competition. In addition to smartphones and Product name, there is also a reference to the Google Play Store on the front. Probably a little dig at Huawei. The actual box is still in a box that can be easily removed (see image 2). Once you have removed the lid, you are greeted by a small box containing the usual paperwork, a SIM needle for the dual SIM slot and a transparent silicone case to protect the smartphone. Directly below is the Vivo Y70, which is still in a foil. If you lift the smartphone out of the box, you will find the 33W power supply and the corresponding USB-C cable directly underneath. In addition, Vivo also supplies wired in-ear headphones.
First impression of the Vivo Y70
The Vivo Y70 left me with mixed feelings after a day of use, which is mainly due to the RRP of 290,99 euros. For this price I would expect a slightly stronger one Processor, an ultra-wide-angle camera and somewhat thinner display bezels. All of this is really high-level nitpicking, but many competitors in this price range, such as the Samsung Galaxy A51, Little X3 NFC or the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite, simply offer a little more in these points. If the price drops perhaps by 30 to 50 euros in the next few days and weeks, the whole thing will look different again.
Of course, there are also a few points that I've really liked so far. Above all, the design of the back, but also the battery life and the large 6,44-inch AMOLED display made a very good first impression. The 48 megapixel main camera was also able to convince after the first test photos.
I have to take a closer look at all of this in the next few days and weeks, especially compare it with other smartphones in this price range, and then a detailed review will follow here very soon TechnikNews.
