Apple today introduced the new Watch Ultra 2 in "Black Titanium." The new model expands the selection of the Ultra series, which was previously offered in the characteristic titanium-colored version, and is aimed at users who prefer a sporty yet minimalist look.

The Apple Watch Ultra 2, released in September 2023, is Apple's most rugged model and is designed specifically for adventurers, athletes and outdoor enthusiasts. It offers numerous advanced features, including an extremely bright Always-On Retina display, a more precise GPS sensor and improved diving capabilities that support depths of up to 40 meters. Despite these high-end features, the Ultra 2 remains usable for up to 36 hours in normal use, and even up to 72 hours with power saving mode activated.

Other innovations at the Apple event:

The decision to offer the Apple Watch Ultra 2 in black is not only for aesthetic reasons, but also for functional benefits. The darker coating protects the case from visible scratches and signs of wear, which is particularly beneficial in extreme environments. In addition, the black finish gives the watch a subtle and modern look that blends seamlessly into various everyday and outdoor looks.

Price and availability

The new Apple Watch Ultra 2 in black starts at 899 euros.
