Preview of the IFA 2023: This is new
But how exactly is it going at the IFA this year? The biggest innovation is the new organizer, the Clarion Events Group. From the current point of view, however, almost everything is being retained, including the two press days before the final visitor days. However, there is some news:
- Longer opening times: IFA Berlin is now open for the press from 08:00 to 20:00 (for visitors from 09:00 to 18:00).
- Cloakroom and storage compartment for press: This year, for the first time, objects and other things can be temporarily stored free of charge. This is located near the media center.
The IFA 2023 starts on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, with the first press day. August 31st is also reserved for journalists from all over the world, after which the fair will be open to all visitors and fans from September 01st to 05th with tickets opens.

Exhibitors at IFA 2023
Unfortunately, some well-known, bigger names that hold their own events outside of the IFA in Berlin are missing from our list. In this list all of this year's exhibitors can be found here, with up-and-coming companies and start-ups in particular using the IFA stage in Berlin. So, there will still be innovations and a lot of exciting technology to discover - don't worry.

The best IFA 2023 tips for trade fair visitors
Are you visiting the IFA Berlin directly? Welcome! However, a larger trade fair like the IFA requires some preparation in order not to despair on site. We have the best tips for you in each category.
IFA website
Sounds banal, but we still have a tip for you here. If possible, use the English version of the IFA Berlin website. Due to the new organizer, this is unfortunately not yet completely well filled in both languages. Much more information and details can be found in the English version.
Ticket Categories
Important: The ticket must be bought online, there is no ticket office on site.
- Normal ticket: Access to the exhibition center
- Student ticket: Reduced normal entry ticket
- Press ticket: As a blogger, content creator, magazine, other media
How to get there
In a big city like Berlin, you also have to plan your arrival. The best way to get to the IFA is by S-Bahn, but there are several options:
- Train: Messe Nord/ICC, Messe Süd
- Subway: Kaiserdamm, Theodor-Heuss-Platz
- Car: Parking lot Berlin ExpoCenter City (Messedamm 22), CityCube Berlin (Messedamm 26), hub27 Berlin (Berlin Exhibition Grounds, Jafféstraße, Gate 25)
Visit to the booth
Are you planning to visit some exhibitors directly at the booth? Plan using the IFA site plan the visits well. It is advisable to approach the halls one after the other so as not to walk from one corner of the exhibition center to the other.
IFA shuttle
Unfortunately, this year there doesn't seem to be any IFA shuttle that will take you through the exhibition grounds. However, we are still asking here and will update this point as soon as we know more.
Update: There is an IFA shuttle. You can use the IFA shuttle on the site free of charge. This will take you to all possible points at the fair and drive along the lines drawn on the shuttle map (exhibited again and again at the fair). This saves you a lot of walking.
Comfortable shoes
We already anticipated it earlier – a visit to a trade fair means a lot of walking around. At least as a visitor. Be sure to get comfortable, good shoes - trust me: we often have more than 13.000 steps on one day of the trade fair pro person put back.
Take a backpack or bag with you
Many companies give out goodies or other things at the booths. A backpack or a bag for these things should definitely be planned. But don't stuff too much in either: the backpack should be light and comfortable.
Meals
There are a number of food stands waiting for you directly at the exhibition center both indoors and outdoors. Our experience shows that card payment is not possible everywhere. So some cash is definitely recommended. A bottle of water in your backpack or pocket can't hurt anyway.
Don't dress too warm
You won't get cold in the exhibition hall - especially because there are many people in one room. So don't dress too warm, we would recommend loose clothing like a shirt and jeans. Very few people wear suits there.
With our tips you have already gotten the most difficult things behind you. Pack your bags, travel to Berlin and off you go. We wish you a lot of fun and maybe we'll see you!
