Mario Kart Tour: These are the first impressions
After Nintendo released a closed beta announced for Mario Kart Tour, it begins now. The first testers already shared their impressions.
Even though the tests are only running in the US and Japan, I was able to sign up for them with a VPN. However, I have not (yet) received an invitation. Is only half as bad, because several people in the Program have now shared their first impressions of the new Mario game, which will be released on mobile devices in the summer Finding their way should.
Automatic acceleration, "gacha" system and no multiplayer mode
The first videos already show that Nintendo built in many elements that we already know and love from other Mario Kart versions. Including the most popular tracks from SNES, GameCube, DS and 3DS and well-known characters, including Mario, Bowser, Bone-Dry and Waluigi. You can also find a wide variety of items that we already know. It accelerates automatically and the kart is steered by swiping across the display.
Let's briefly remember Super Mario Run. Nintendo let interested parties play the first level for free before 9,99 euros were requested as an in-app purchase for all further content. Apparently, however, this pricing model did not really catch on. Rather, they want to stick to the "Gacha" system on the Mario Kart Tour. This means that the most diverse elements can be purchased with a virtual currency. If you run out of currency, you buy new ones with real money. It is not yet clear whether you will get the game currency in the game for certain achievements. Nintendo also adapted the Candy Chrush heart system. If these run out, you have to wait or buy new ones.
A multiplayer mode is nowhere to be seen. I hope that this will come in the final version.
It is currently still unknown when exactly the new Mario Kart title will land in the Play Store and App Store. I suspect that Nintendo is waiting for the feedback to change a few things before the release. We'll definitely finish the gameprobeer
