Pixel Watch: Google's first smartwatch (es) will likely appear in 2019
Even though rumors about a Pixel Watch were discussed diligently last year, finally left us hanging on Google. Now it is again suspected that Google will introduce (at least) one smartwatch in 2019.
On Twitter, developer Till Kottmann posts two code names that have been leaked by the Wear OS team for Google devices that have not yet been presented. The colleagues from Google Watch Blog attentive. The two code names in the tweet are “Salmon” and “Medeka”. "Medeka" is said to be the Pixel Watch. It is not known what “Salmon” is supposed to be. Some believe that this model is a second version of the smartwatch. But it is definitely clear that both devices do not have a notch.
Here are the upcoming Google codenames device #leaked:#salmon and #medaka.
None of the devices has a notch and medaka is mostly probably the rumored Pixel Watch. More info should surface soon.- Till Kottmann (@deletescape) January 25, 2019
There are still no theories about a possible launch date for the Pixel Watch. I suspect that Google will either use the smartwatch with the I / O 2019 or at the hardware event in the fourth quarter, together with one new pixel smartphone, will show.
