Microsoft has never really been able to gain a foothold in the smartphone sector. Now the manufacturer is also giving up its own Microsoft tape.

In a mail to buyers of a Microsoft tape, Microsoft announced that support for the Health Dashboard will end. As of May 31, 2019, the company wants to turn off the page for this and take all apps for the Microsoft Band from the Microsoft Store, Play Store and App Store. This means that owners of such a bracelet only have a useless bracelet.

Thank you for being a Microsoft customer and using our Band and Health Dashboard products. Today Microsoft is announcing the end of support for the Microsoft Health Dashboard applications and services.

On 5/31/2019, the Microsoft Health Dashboard site will be shut down and Microsoft Band applications will be removed from the Microsoft Store, Google Play, and Apple App Store.

Microsoft had never really been successful with smartphones and Windows 10 Mobile. A month ago it was announced that support for the mobile operating system would even be available completely discontinue.

What are the alternatives?

Now a few will surely be wondering which alternative one can resort to. If you look at the equipment, I can do it Fitbit versa or recommend the Fitbit Charge 3. You can get away with it pretty cheaply here. If you would like to have integrated GPS, the Fitbit Ionic very good. Recommended smartwatches would be, for example Galaxy Watch Active, the Fossil Sport or the Apple Watch Series 4. Of the latter, however, only iPhone buyers can profit.
