TechnikNews Weekly #095: Vodafone CallYa, iPhone 11 Pro Max, Twitter update and more

We'll be in touch twice in the current year with the TechnikNews Weekly, then again in the new year. The news doesn’t stop, a summary is now available here in the current Weekly.
CallYa from Vodafone can do 5G
The 5G expert Tobkse found out this week that Vodafone's CallYa tariffs are already 5G-compatible. It achieved up to 614 Mbit / s in the speed test, although, according to Vodafone, these prepaid tariffs only manage 500 Mbit / s. When asked, the company said that 5G was not yet available for CallYa. Either Vodafone now leaves this loophole open or the possibility of surfing with 5G is blocked.
iPhone 11 Pro Max review
There was another test report for our readers this week. In it, editor Kevin reports on his experiences with the iPhone 11 Pro Max, which he has been using since September, and addresses the question of whether the Pro label is really deserved. Are you interested? The link will take you there:
Twitter app for iPad with a new design
Until now, the Twitter app for the iPad was a bloated version of the iPhone app. Now an update is on the way that should solve this problem. With this update, Twitter is introducing a column layout with a main column with the tweets and a secondary column with trends or search results. The update is currently being rolled out in small steps.
What's on my iPad
I reported this week about what apps are on my iPad Air 3. In the article I cover the wallpapers I use, the arrangement in the dock, the widget bar and the app grid. I also show which games I own and explain what I would like to change on my home screen. You can also find links to the things mentioned there.
