Huawei starts internal beta phase for Android 9 Pie
Many manufacturers are currently working on the delivery of the Android version from Google released this week. Some Huawei smartphones are to be tested internally with the new software. It won't be long before Huawei Android 9 Pie will distribute on the first devices.
Who GSMArena reports, the company is said to have officially announced the start of the internal beta phase on the Chinese platform Weibo. Logically, Huawei will come up with the flagship models Mate 10 Pro, Huawei P20 and P20 Pro, Honor 10 as well as the Honor V10. They would also like to publish a specific plan for the updates shortly. In this article we have published an overview of all devices with Android 9.
Huawei: Fast updates thanks ProProject Treble?
Last year Google for Android did that ProProject Treble started. This should enable fast updates for Android smartphones. All manufacturers who deliver their smartphones with at least Android 8.0 must support this standard. So it should probably not be that long before the first updates arrive - even if you haven't had any success with them so far Proproject could achieve.
Since Huawei is adapting the operating system very heavily with its own EMUI interface, it will take a while until the final version. In addition, Huawei is currently distributing an update with GPU Turbo to numerous devices - by the way. This is where the distribution from the high-end devices to the mid-range devices takes place downwards. This is how you will work your way through here too. The first update will probably arrive on one of the Huawei flagships in autumn 2018.
Huawei p20 pro here, let it come! can users also participate in the beta version?
Not at the moment, but check the "HiCare" app from time to time, there are often tenders for the beta tests. But they are usually very limited.
The Chinese step on the gas. Now all they need is a CEO who speaks English well, see Huawei Keynotes 😛
