Summary of the highlights of E3 2018
This year no new hardware was presented at E3, but we saw all the more games from the manufacturers. My highlight from Sony is The Last of Us - Part 2, which is an action game with a multiplayer mode. Microsoft was able to inspire me with Forza Horizon 4, the offshoot of the famous racing game series. The game is now set in the UK. In addition, the time of day, the weather and the season can now change.
Nintendo piqued my interest with Super Mario Party for the Switch. Four players can still take part in a party, and it is now possible to connect several consoles in tablet mode to virtually expand the playing field according to your own wishes. Further highlights of E3 2018 can be found in my article.
Backup & Sync review
Backup & Sync is an interface between your own PC and Google Drive on the web. Folders and files selected during setup can be automatically synchronized with the web client. But there is also the option of synchronizing files from “My Filing” with the PC. I explain what else the tool can do in my article.
Introducing IGTV
IGTV is a new video platform from Instagram where every user can upload content as they please. The clips may only be filmed vertically and may not be longer than ten minutes. As a viewer, you can like, comment or share content to give feedback to the creator. IGTV will be available worldwide in the coming weeks.
First impression of Google Podcasts
As the name suggests, Google Podcasts is the new app for podcasts from Mountainview. When designing the app, it was decided to use Material Design 2, the overall structure of the service is generally very simple. There is only one page, the start page, from which everything else can be reached in a few seconds. Since the app has all of the podcasts that I'm following, I will probably continue to use it in the future.
We have all been waiting for Youtube Red for months, now there are the same features in a subscription called Youtube Premium. The offer consists of one and YouTube itself and YouTube Music Premium. Thanks to Premium, you can watch YouTube videos offline and in the background without advertising. Youtube Music Premium is a streaming service for music that also includes music videos from Youtube, from which you can only play the sound. The latter, in turn, uses less data.
