Another week has passed with some news, advice and a review. So that you in the Corona time doesn’t get boring, the summary is now available in the TechnikNews weekly.

Disney + is finally here

Disney+ has been competing with the streaming giant Netflix in the USA since November of last year, and now the service is taking off here too. Perfect timing given the government lockdown due to the coronavirus. Our editor-in-chief David Wurm took a closer look at which films and series the new streaming service has to offer. In order to be able to use Disney+, you either have to pay 6,99 euros pro month or 69,99 euros pro pay year. For all those who have made use of the early bird discount, only 59,99 euros are due for the first year.

Advisory: set up iCloud folder sharing

As of this week, the latest versions of iOS 13, iPadOS 13 and macOS 10.15 Catalina are available. An important innovation is that it is now possible to share folders in iCloud with other people. Advisory: Use trackpads and mice with iPad

In another guide I explain how to proceed if you want to use a mouse or a trackpad with your iPad. In iPadOS 13.4, Apple integrated proper support for external input devices for the first time, which should simplify the use of the tablet.

Huawei P40 and P40 Pro introduced

There were also smartphone presentations this week. Among other things, Huawei showed the P40 and the P40 Pro. The two smartphones look modern for the times and they come with 5G and a camera developed with Leica. Although the latest version of Android runs as the operating system, Huawei was not allowed to install Google services. Instead, buyers have to download the apps from the self-developed AppGallery. Editor Felix has recorded all further information in his article.

Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro introduced

Secondly, Xiaomi introduced the new Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro. Compared to the previous series, both smartphones have faster internal components, which is why the price has also increased a little. For example, the latest Snapdragon processor, Wifi6 and 5G are used. The camera hardware is also technically very up to date. You can find the exact information in our article.
